For Tennley

Good friends, far away in North Carolina just brought a baby girl into this world. This is my present to her, a handmade taggie blanket. This type of blanket some babies like because the ribbons act "tags" on toys, and babies are always putting tags into their mouth. The picture on the right is working on photography skills.

Here's the most complicated sewing project thus far. Baby bloomers!!!!! So cute :)  The size on the pattern said for 6-12 months, but I don't know if I believe it. Unfortunately, I don't have a baby close by as a model, so we just get pictures of the pants. And they look like real pants, not bad for a first time.

Bird Pictures

While on our trip to Florida, I took lots of pictures with my awesome camera. Wildlife was all around us, so they made for easy subjects. The following pictures were taken as I practiced with camera controls and settings. I love a digital camera which shows the progression of pictures.

Mom and Dad's visit

My (Kristin's) parents came down for a visit for a few days. My Dad hadn't seem my current apartment, so we gave him the 5 second tour. I sent them home with three new recipies, a turkey chili, marble brownies, and a brand new pasta salad. Hmm, did I make you hungry? I still have leftovers in the fridge, lucky me!

Dad was interested in seeing uninhabited Texas, so we drove to LBJ grasslands. This was the result... very pretty!

Prayers needed

My close friend, Lindsey, is in need of your help. She was in a softball accident March 26th, and the point of impact was her eye. She broke her nose, but of more concern, the bones around her eye. The doctors did surgery to reposition all the bones, but there is still a lot of swelling. Due to the swelling, we don't know about her vision in that eye. She will need plastic surgeries down the road. Prayers are needed for her vision to be restored. As well, she didn't qualify for disability from work, so financially everything is hard with medical bills and a morgage. If you want more specific information, let me know.
